RealAg Radio, Nov 4: Beef Markets, Canola Seed Consolidation & Moving On From Farming in the Past

Anne Wasko of Gateway Livestock joins hosts Shaun and Kelvin on the Nov 4 edition of Real Ag Radio to chat about what’s happening in the beef markets, and few other things.

We also hear from Dave Hanson of Canterra Seeds, Eric Gregory of BrettYoung and Kevin McCallum of DL Seeds — three companies in the canola seed business — on how they see their businesses and positions in the market being impacted by the mergers and consolidation in the crop input and seed industry (Bayer-Monsanto is the big one for canola seed.)

Wrapping up the week, we hear Shaun’s chat with Cynthia Crowley of CroValley Holsteins on the joys and challenges of operating a family dairy farm in Ontario, and preview the “Best of CAMA” gala that Shaun’s going to be emceeing in Calgary tonight!

Tune in each weekday to SiriusXM’s Rural Radio Channel 147 at 4 p.m. (eastern) to hear the day’s show!
