More Time for Combining with Deere's Folding Head

by

Can you drive your combine – with the head – down a narrow road to the next farm? Are you tired of header trailers and the need for tow vehicles?

John Deere says its new 608FC 8-row folding corn head is the answer to these challenges – just fold the head and go. Deere unveiled the new corn head earlier this year at the Farm Progress Show in Boone, Iowa. In this video, Deere marketing manager Kevin Ripple explains that the folding head is designed to help farmers overcome transportation challenges, including navigating narrow roads and the need to detach, transport and reattach heads when moving from field to field.

The 608FC is available in 30-inch row spacing with or without the stalk chopping option. For transport, the head folds quickly to a width of 10.9 feet. The 8-row head is available for John Deere group 6 and 7 S-Series combines.
