Agriculture is big business, but a small industry, if you think about the number of people involved. Within each sector, that number shrinks significantly, and, at times, trying to communicate the needs of one sector can be tough when you’re few in number.
The seed industry has faced that challenge for quite some time, and, as Brent Derkatch president of the Canadian Seed Trade Association, explains, it’s time for collaboration within the industry to move messaging, concerns, and policy forward.

In this edition of the Seedpod, brought to you by Biovision Seed Labs, Derkatch lays out the Canadian seed industry’s plans for its unified voice via Seed Synergy, and working with the American Seed Trade Association with its “Better Seed, Better Life” campaign.
