SSG Fusion Puts You In Control Of Your Own Feedyard Data

Managing a feedyard used to be fairly simple. You bought the cattle, you processed the cattle, the cattle were fed, and then sold. And that process repeated itself. In 2017, this kind of lack of attention to detail is a money-losing guarantee. Collecting data and understanding what is happening in your feedyard is essential to your long term survival in the feedyard business.

The collecting part when it comes to data points within your feedyard is really the easy part. Turning that data into actionable information is where the management cream rises to the top. If you are in control of your data to make informed decision based on information from your feedyard, you can make winning decisions.

SSG Fusion Feedyard software was an idea created by Southern Alberta feedyard owner Ed Stronks and several local partners.

At the NCBA meeting in Nashville, Shaun Haney spoke with SSG Fusion’s Kris Stroeve about the software and how it’s making a difference in feedyards around North America.
