RealAg Radio, May 12: Climbing electricity bills, a Friday roundtable & Sens hockey analysis

by

It’s Friday and that means we have a RealAg Roundtable set up on today’s show. Shaun Haney and Kelvin Heppner discuss some new details in Bayer’s reported agreement to sell its LibertyLink business to meet competition approvals, the confirmation of Robert Lighthizer and what that means for NAFTA renegotiation and Canada’s appointee to head up those talks.

Lonny Smith of AgroLiquid joins to discuss soil health, and we wrap up the show with the roundtable, as Sens’ fan Lyndsey Smith and Bern Tobin join to discuss the impact of rising electricity costs in Ontario (as well as Manitoba and Alberta), the ag census results published this week and the lack of written farm succession plans, as well as planting progress across the country (including the strange situation that has Manitoba well ahead of Ontario in soybean acres planted).

Catch RealAg Radio every weekday afternoon at 4pm eastern on Rural Radio 147 on SiriusXM.
