The Manitoba Canola Growers Association has announced Delaney Ross Burtnack will be joining the organization as executive director this summer.
Ross Burtnack, who has served as the president and CEO of the Canadian Association of Agri-Retailers for the last six years, will take over for Bill Ross at the end of July.
“Delaney is an experienced leader who understands the importance of providing value back to farmers. Her background in research, communications and extensive agriculture network will make her an asset to the organization,” said Chuck Fossay, MCGA president, in a news release on Friday.
“I have long recognized the critical role that the canola associations play in protecting and advancing one of Canada’s premiere crops through leading edge research, public outreach, and agronomic information. I couldn’t be more thrilled to join the MCGA team, sharing in the great work that Bill Ross and the staff have established in Manitoba, in order to contribute to the continued advancement of canola research and productivity on behalf of Manitoba’s canola growers,” said Ross Burtnack.
“I am excited to watch the organization continue to thrive and I know that MCGA will be in good hands with Delaney as executive director,” added Ross, who will be retiring after leading MCGA for the past 15 years.
