The company formed from the proposed merger of PotashCorp and Agrium will be known as Nutrien, the companies announced on Wednesday.
Both sides say they expect the deal to close in the third quarter of 2017.
The new Canadian fertilizer company would have close to 20,000 employees and operations in 18 countries. Its head office would be in Saskatoon, where PotashCorp has its headquarters. A corporate office would also be located in Calgary, where Agrium is based.
