A drive-over conveyor that swings from hopper to hopper to save time when unloading grain drew plenty of attention at Ag Days in Brandon, Man., earlier this month, including from the judges in the farm show’s new inventions contest.
The “Ultimate Swinging Drive-Over” made by Winkler-based manufacturing startup Soaring Eagle Grain Equipment received the top prize in the inventors’ showcase.
With a 2.5 inch profile, the conveyor transports with the auger or conveyor.
“We farm and we had seen a need for something like this in the industry, so we’re hoping it will become a standards for augers to come,” says Soaring Eagle’s Tim Penner, who started the business with a partner only a year ago. Check out the videos below for more!

Second place in the Ag Days inventions contest went to another conveyor — the AgriLite aluminum conveyor, which attaches to trailers for filling air seeders, deep banding equipment, and spreaders at over 4,000 lb/min.
