RealAgriculture is hiring a full-time, in-the-field videographer to cover Western Canada.

If you’re outgoing and enthusiastic with a passion for farming and know your way around a camera and production software, we’d like you to consider joining the RealAgriculture team.

As videographer, you’ll be expected to travel across all three Prairie provinces, though a home base in Saskatchewan is preferred.

From filming insects in Outlook, to cattle in Carnduff, this role is ideal for someone who wants to see the sites across the west while also gathering engaging video and interviews with the best and brightest that Canadian agriculture has to offer.

Duties include:

  • On-location filming of RealAgriculture’s branded series, included crop schools and beef schools
  • Coverage of conferences and events, such as Western Canada’s Farm Progress Show, FarmTech, and Agribition, to name a few
  • Video production, editing, and uploading for what’s produced, and writing posts to accompany them
  • On-location sharing via Instagram, Snapchat, and Facebook

Strong written and spoken communication skills are required. Familiarity with social network platforms is an asset. Preference is given to applicants with a farming or agriculture-related background.

Camera equipment, software, and hardware are all supplied. You must have a valid driver’s license and your own vehicle. RealAgriculture offers a sweet benefits package, pension, and the chance to work with some very smart, very fun members Canada’s agriculture media.

This role is set to begin in early May. Applications close April 16, 2018.
