RealAg Radio, May 24: New hopper cars, a wheat class answer, and Peter's Word

Episodes:

We’ve hit the half-way mark of this next-to-last week of May and the weather has improved slightly in a few areas of the Prairies, as tinder-dry areas such as Brandon, MB, and Regina, SK, got some much needed rain.

In today’s episode of RealAg Radio, host Shaun Haney is joined by Patti Miller, chief commissioner of the Canadian Grain Commission, to discuss the movement of wheat varieties out of the CWRS class, and Katie Carefoot with Farmers Edge is on to talk data management, varietal comparisons, and N-response curves.

Also on today’s show, Kelvin Heppner joins in the fun for the top ag news, including the passing of Bill C-49, CN Rail’s new investment in rail cars, and consolidation in the dairy processing industry. And as is tradition on Thursday’s episode, you’ll hear Peter Johnson’s Wheat Pete’s Word where he talks leaf burn, controlling sow thistle and fleabane, and answering if harrowing makes a dry seed bed more or less dry.

  1. If someone fails to find something important then we should tell that in a manner which is much more intense to wake him up.
