SaskCanola executive director departs

The Saskatchewan Canola Development Commission (SaskCanola) is undergoing a change in leadership.

The commission confirmed on Tuesday that Janice Tranberg has departed from the canola grower organization, after serving as executive director since January 2015.

“We would like to thank Janice for her contribution to SaskCanola over the last three-and-a-half years,” says chair Doyle Wiebe.

Prior to joining SaskCanola, Tranberg served as an assistant deputy minister for the Saskatchewan Ministry of Agriculture and as the vice president (Western Canada) for CropLife Canada.

A search for her replacement will begin shortly.
