RealAg Radio, Oct.12: National farmer day, global market slow downs, and protein power plays

Anybody else feel like this week went by insanely fast? On Friday’s edition of the RealAg Radio show you’ll be hearing from a mixture of people. First off for the news, Lyndsey Smith and Jessika Guse will have all your top ag news stories of the day including some good tips for wintering your cattle.

Host Shaun Haney then has Wynne Chisholm join the show to talk about the incredible gift both she, and her dad, Jack Anderson, gave the University of Calgary. J.P Gervais with Farm Credit Canada also speaks to Shaun about this past weeks IMF report and if there is in fact a global slowdown right now.

To close out the show, the new CEO of Protein Industries Canada Supercluster (PIC), Bill Gruel, joins Shaun to talk about the protein industry and what he’s most looking forward to. Gruel starts his new position on Monday.

Wheat prices jump into August — This week in the grain markets
