The Alberta Wheat Commission (AWC) has elected its new director-at-large at the final stop of its regional meetings held at Lethbridge, Alta.
Janine Paly was elected for the position. She replaces Kevin Bender who’s been a part of the board since AWC’s launch in 2012.
Paly farms near Thorhild, and is honoured farmers have put their confidence in her for the position, she says.
“As a farmer, I’ve watched the sheer strength of this organization grow and I’m excited to bring the unique perspectives I’ve gained throughout my career to continue building on that,” Paly says in a news release.
Paly’s term officially begins following AWC’s annual general meeting (AGM) at FarmTech on January 30, 2019.
