Over 200 4-H Canada clubs got the green light for various activities and events they’ll hold next year, with funding through the Farm Credit Canada (FCC) 4-H Club Fund. FCC announced this week $114,250 will flow to the youth leadership organization.
“4-H Canada is extremely grateful for our longstanding partnership with FCC, and for its continued support of the 4-H Club Fund,” says 4-H Canada CEO, Shannon Benner in a news release.
From east to west, 233 clubs will benefit from the funding for next year for both the provincial and national level initiatives. The FCC 4-H Club Fund awards up to $500 for a wide range of projects including achievement days, skill-building workshops, field trips, public speaking competitions, and the purchase of club supplies.
“This is a long-term investment in a national organization dedicated to developing leadership, confidence and values in young people who want to contribute to this vibrant and dynamic industry,” says Todd Klink, executive vice-president and chief marketing officer at FCC.
Those who wish to apply for club funding can do so come August 1, 2019. Funding closes October 31, 2019.
