Kinze sets launch of narrow row planter for 2020

by

Kinze continues its push to bring innovation to the narrow row planter market with the planned launch of its new 4700 planter set for 2020.

Last week at the National Farm Machinery Show at Louisville, Kentucky, Kinze service manager Phil Jennings provided a peek at the technology and innovation growers can expect in the first 36-row/20-inch configuration with the Kinze 4000 series cast row unit. In following years, it will be offered in 24-row/20-inch and 24-row/30-inch configurations.

In this video interview with RealAgriculture’s Bernard Tobin, Jennings notes the new 4700 will include Kinze’s Blue Vantage display, Blue Drive electric drive and True Depth active hydraulic down force. Other features include a three-section frame with 15 degrees of tool bar flex up and down for superior ground contact; a standard 120-bushel bulk seed fill capacity with hydraulic weight transfer; and an optional 600-gallon liquid fertilizer capacity.
