Farm Management Canada (FMC) is about to start a national study of the connection between mental health and farm business management, but they need industry help. They’re requesting those in agriculture, business management, or the mental health field to submit expressions of interest to be involved in the study which is planned to start April 1, 2019.
According to a news release, companies or individuals who are interested in guiding the study (advising on methodology, questions to ask, etc.), promoting participation in the study, sponsoring the study, conducting the study, or other related tasks, are asked to submit a one to five page expression of interest to project manager, Denise Rollin, by email preferably before March 31 of this year. All submissions will remain confidential.
The submission should include:
- A brief history of your organization, company, self, including interest and relevant experience;
- A brief outline of desired contribution(s) to the project including personal time and financial support; and,
- Contact information and preferred method of communication.
This study will be cost-shared 50:50 with Agriculture and Agri-Food Canada, so FMC is looking for both time and financial commitments.
The purpose of this study is for FMC to support business development, competitiveness, and the adoption of farm business management practices to achieve sustainable growth of the Canadian agricultural sector.
