New Holland says it has built its new Genesis T8 tractor series from the ground up to deliver improved precision technology and a revamped cab that gives growers a new level of customizable tractor control.
New Holland rolled out the Genesis T8 with Precision Land Management (PLM) Intelligence, the company’s precision farming platform, at the National Farm Machinery Show at Louisville, Kentucky. In this video report, Luke Zerby, PLM product marketing manager for New Holland, takes you inside the cab to show how the Genesis T8 advances connectivity between operators, vehicles, advisors and dealers, improves productivity, reduces downtime and provides customizable controls, improved visibility and enhanced comfort.
The most innovative features, however, extend far beyond the cab with the complete integration of New Holland’s PLM platform, he says. “New Holland’s approach to precision farming solutions can be summed up in four words — open, connected, smart, supported,” says Zerby. The precision platform allows operators to share and analyze data, and provides enhanced support functionality through local New Holland dealers. “This is all through a simple tablet-based user interface, allowing the farmer to do more and do it easier than ever before,” adds Zerby. The in-cab experience has been enhanced to remove obstructions and ensure maximum visibility. The new InfoView monitor is positioned in direct line-of-sight on the dash so operators can keep their eyes on the horizon. Strategically placed cameras make it easy to navigate in and out of traffic and have a full view of the field. New 360-degree LED work lights turn night into day, says Zerby, delivering up to 25 percent more visible light for greater awareness of surroundings while operating.
The Genesis T8 with PLM Intelligence also features a new ergonomic armrest and a 12-inch monitor that delivers enhanced visibility and control and gives operators the ability to adjust key features and functions to individual preferences, Zerby says.
