If you were lucky enough to be at the sold out CropConnect conference this year, one keynote speaker was sure to leave you feeling refreshed and full of energy. If you weren’t able to attend, have no fear, as you’ll still be able to feel energized from CFL legend Michael “Pinball” Clemons as he shares his motivation with RealAgriculture’s audience.
The Canadian Sports Hall-of-Famer was the opening keynote speaker for this year’s conference held at Winnipeg, Man. He says his message was simple, “trying to honour farmers, and those that honour that industry in the way that we should (be honouring them).”
Clemons believes farmers and the people who produce the food on our table should get the same amount of respect and honour as those that serve on the front lines. He adds the lifestyle of a farmer is such a rich one as it’s based around family and unity.
“We should all be more like farmers … we would be better, our country, our world would be better if we were all a little bit more like farmers.”
Listen to RealAgriculture’s Jessika Guse and CFL legend Pinball Clemons talk about honouring farmers, what crop Clemons would grow if he were to become a farmer, and how to keep a good work life balance.
