RealAg Radio, Mar. 4: More PEDv in Alberta, high DON corn, and benefits of corn residue

by

Spoiler alert, it’s still cold in much of Canada and no shock here, RealAg Radio host, Shaun Haney still isn’t happy about the frigid temps. Meanwhile news lead, Jessika Guse has a no problem with the cold as she’d rather have the cool temps over mosquitoes!

First on the show, the pair discuss the top ag news stories of the day including PEDv popping up in Alberta again, cattle numbers from Statistics Canada, and there being one month left to apply for the CYL program.

Then, Dr. Fred Below, from the University of Illinois, joins Haney to discuss how corn residue can be used to a farmers’ benefit.

To wrap up the show, Peter ‘Wheat Pete’ Johnson joins Haney for not one, but two segments to talk all things agronomy.
