The Goodyear R14T crossover tire is now available for a full range of compact tractors up to 150 horsepower.
The crossover tire — a unique hybrid of different tread styles designed for any job in the field or around the farm — was launched last year by Titan International. In February, at the National Farm Machinery Show in Louisville, Kentucky, Titan announced it now plans to make 14 new sizes available for 2019.
In this video, Titan OEM account manager Dennis Nutter notes the new additions expand the line to a total of 18 sizes. Nutter says before the development of the R14T, compact tractor owners had to choose between three tire tread designs —agricultural, turf and industrial — when purchasing a machine or change out their tires for different applications.
With the R14T, Nutter explains that Titan engineers have combined the traction and cleaning features of the agricultural tire with the wear and ride features of the industrial tire, along with the reduced tire disturbance of the turf tire. From hard concrete surfaces to softer soils, snow and sensitive turf, the R14T is designed to perform equally well in any conditions, he adds.
