ADAMA launches pinoxaden-based herbicide

by

ADAMA has announced Canadian farmers will have a second pinoxaden herbicide option for controlling grassy weeds in wheat and barley.

Registered as BRAZEN, the Group 1 herbicide is safe to use on both spring wheat and barley up to flag leaf on both crops allowing for flexibility during spray season, the company says.

ADAMA says that pinoxaden is a proven active ingredient that delivers grassy weed control in wheat and barley with a wide application window and multiple tank-mix options for one-pass weed control. The broad-spectrum annual grass control includes wild oats, green foxtail, yellow foxtail, Persian darnel, volunteer oats, volunteer canary seed and proso millet.

Before now, the herbicide pinoxaden has only been available from one source.
