CN executive gives insight on regulations, investment, and learning curves

by

In an outreach effort to connect with the agriculture sector, last week CN Railway took members of the agriculture industry aboard their executive train for a chance to have an open dialogue about how the two industries interact with each other.

CN’s executive vice-president corporate services and chief legal officer, Sean Finn was along for the ride, along with national account manager Gary Bond and public affairs manager Robin Speer. As the train left Saskatoon, Sask., and headed for Edmonton, Alta., both Finn and Bond gave presentations on how the company is working to connect with the farming community.

Representatives from Alberta Wheat and the Western Canadian Wheat Growers Association called it unprecedented to have these types of open conversation with higher ups of CN.

In the interview below, Finn shares how the company plans to improve customer relations with producers, and he also touches on the investment the rail line has made and how people will see a difference once the work on certain tracks is finished.
