Alberta-based farmer Lynn Dargis spent much of Canada’s Farm Progress Show on the other side of a booth, bringing attention to her recently unveiled grain pricing platform.
Farmbucks, launched at the end of February, collects, sorts and displays grain prices in real time, with its newest version (2.0) offering price history lines, price alerts, geographic locations, and instant contact with buyers.
“Our app also integrates protein and grade premium and discount schedules, which is huge because everyone – every elevator, different buyers – have different standards that they show online, so without calling in to see what these discounts are, it’s impossible to see what your net price is,” says Dargis, adding the Farmbucks app puts everyone on the same playing field.
The platform is currently available with a 30 day free trial, then the option of a one-, three- or 12-month subscription.
