Arnold Innovation's line-up of hydraulic reversing tools for combines

by

In 2015, Annette, Richard, and Doug Arnold founded Arnold Innovations, in an effort to provide safe, productive, and innovative solutions to problems encountered in the field.

“My parents farm 3500 acres of grain in rural Manitoba, and one year my dad was unplugging my CX series combine with the manual wrench, and unfortunately pushed up on the wrench…and pinched a nerve in his collarbone,” says Doug Arnold, in this video interview filmed at Canada’s Farm Progress Show in Regina, SK.

The family team used their experience to inspire the creation of a combine reversing tool to help lessen the load of unplugging a combine. After developing prototypes, and refining their idea, Arnold Innovations brought a hydraulic ratcheting wrench to the market in 2016, calling it the AI100-CX Reverser.

According to Arnold Innovations, the reverser is 10 times faster than the manual wrench, and reduces the chance of operator injury by using the combine’s hydraulics, rather than the operator’s physical strength.

The company now has reversers available for the CAT-Lexion, John Deere S/STS, and New Holland CX/CR combines.
