This year may not have been a wet one for much of western Canada, but those years sure happen. When they do, Degelman’s Scorpion Hitch is designed to get seed and fertilizer done in one pass in less than ideal conditions, says Derek Molnar.
RealAgriculture’s Kara Oosterhuis caught up with Molnar at the Degelman booth at Ag in Motion to talk about the Scorpion Hitch design and the full commercial roll out this year.
An add-on for the company’s ProTill high speed disc, Molnar says it doesn’t replace an air seeder, but it’s a nice plan B when a wet season hits. Of course, it’s a useful piece of kit for other jobs, too, such as fall fertilizer applications and more.
The Scorpion Hitch for #Protill allows you to put down seed, fertilizer, or both at the same time. All done in 1 pass at speeds over 8mph.
