Kubota rolls out its M8 Series with models of up to 210 horsepower

Kubota has unveiled its latest tractor series. Media were on hand at Grapevine, TX, this week to witness the introduction of the M8 Series tractor.

With over 200 horsepower, the M8 is Kubota’s highest horsepower tractor to date.

“The new M8 represents our continued focus on growth in the agricultural market by delivering products that exceed our customer needs. It’s a tractor built in Canada that is well suited for our Canadian farmers,” says Bob Hickey, president of Kubota Canada Ltd.

The company says the series targets the large utility and material handling producers, those who grow commercial hay and forage crops, and is a mid-size option for row crop farmers, as well. Future development of complimentary implements are already in the works, the company says. The M8 series will be available at authorized Kubota dealerships in the spring of 2020.

This announcement builds on Kubota’s OEM agreement with Buhler Industries Inc. announced earlier this year. The agreement blends Kubota’s engineering with Buhler’s production and development and production of larger tractors.

Kubota’s new M8 Series is built for comfort, power, and simplicity, the company says, with 148 cubic feet of space in the cab, ample sound insulation and comfortable seating designed to decrease driver fatigue. The tractor features a Cummins B6.7 Performance Series engine, is available in 190 horsepower and 210 horsepower models, and is EPA Tier 4 Final compliant. The tractor is compatible with most industry precision farming solutions – from auto-steer to prescription mapping.

Farmers can see the M8 Series at three upcoming Canadian farm shows including Expo-Champs in St-Liboire, Que., Canada’s Outdoor Farm Show Ontario, Woodstock, Ont., and Agri-Trade Equipment Expo, Red Deer, Alta. The company plans to have a limited release of the tractor come January 2020.
