AGCO rolls out five options in the new Fendt 900 Series

by

AGCO has introduced the Fendt 900 Series tractors at the 2019 Farm Progress Show at Decatur, Illinois, and RealAgriculture’s Bernard Tobin is there to get all the details.

“This is a ground-up development, purely focused on the North American farmer,” says Andrew Sunderman, AGCO tactical marketing manager for high horsepower tractors.

The series features five models: The 930 (296 HP), 933 (326 HP), 936 (355 HP), 939 (385) and 942 (415 HP), and builds off features first introduced on the 1000 series Fendts. The six-cylinder, 9.0L MAN engine sports the low-rev engine concept first introduced on the 1000 series, to allow the engine to operate at a maximum engine speed of 1700 rpm, for pulling power that uses less fuel and reduces engine wear. This works in unison with the Fendt tractor management system (TMS) and Fendt stepless VarioDrive continuously variable transmission (CVT), Sunderman says.

The tractor is also designed for lower soil impact, through its engine design, power transfer, and in-cab tire inflation adjustment capability, combined with a light base weight with high ballasting capabilities.

As with all Fendt machines, the 900 series are backed by the Fendt Gold Star Customer Care full warranty and service for 36 months or 3,000 hours.
