The board of directors at FP Genetics have chosen its new CEO, ahead of Rod Merryweather’s planned retirement.
Chris Churko will take the reins, starting with the company come September 19th. Churko previously spent just over five year with Alliance Seeds as their general manager, and prior to that was with Viterra as a cereal seed product line manager.
“The process (of) finding a new CEO to take over from Rod was extensive,” an email from Peter Galloway, board chair, states. “In the end, the fact that Chris’s view of the future of the seed industry was aligned with our Board vision was the selling point for Chris’s candidacy.”
