Horsch's new self-propelled sprayer Canada-bound for 2020

by

Horsch took the opportunity while at Agritechnica this November, to unveil its brand new Leeb 6.300 PT sprayer, and it will soon be available in Canada.

“We will actually bring our self-propelled sprayer to Western Canada in 2020 — there will be one demo unit coming — and we’re planning on retailing units as of 2021,” says the company’s Johannes Hottenbacher.

The North American version will have a few select differences, namely variable track width to start immediately, and, down the line, variable height as well.

“We offer here in Europe from 18 to 42 metres width, in various steps,” says Hottenbacher. “The one that will come to North America as a demo unit…will be 120-foot boom, so 36 metres.”

The sprayer features BoomControl; ComfortDrive chassis; the new Tier 5 motor; a filling output of 1,000 litres per minute; and a 6,000-litre polyethylene tank (where the 8.300 PT sprayer offers an 8,000-litre tank made of stainless steel).
