Starting next year, G3 will help six high school students with their post-secondary tuition with the . G3 Grow Beyond scholarship. The scholarship is in partnership with Agriculture in the Classroom Canada (AITC-C) to support students headed to their first-year college or university.
“AITC-C is thrilled to be collaborating with G3 to bring this amazing opportunity to Canadian students,” says Johanne Ross, executive director of AITC-C. “Careers in agriculture are so diverse, and this initiative encourages exploration of that diversity. The G3 Grow Beyond Scholarship will inspire and develop agri-food’s leaders and innovators of the future!”
Grade 12 students may apply by submitting a two-to-four-minute video essay explaining their vision for the future of agriculture in Canada along with how they see themselves contributing to that vision. Submissions will be judged by a panel of industry professionals and the public via online voting.
A total of six scholarships of $4,000 will be awarded to students across Canada (not including from Quebec). In addition, $1,000 will be given to the high school where the student is currently enrolled.
“The G3 Grow Beyond Scholarship will help put the next generation of innovators in agriculture on the path to success,” says G3 CEO, Don Chapman. “We’re proud to partner with Agriculture in the Classroom Canada to make this opportunity available in farming communities across Canada.”
Students have until April 1st, 2020 to apply, and applications can be found by clicking here.
