It takes a special occasion for a Massey Ferguson to roll off the line in something other than the signature red.
The 50th anniversary of the moon landing, it seems, is momentous enough. At this year’s Agritechnica, AGCO’s Massey Ferguson brand showcased a white Massey Ferguson concept tractor, the Next.
Benoit Modde, with Massey Ferguson, says that the Next is a look at what tractors may look like 20 years or more in the future.
RealAgriculture’s coverage of Agritechnica 2019 is made possible by Brevant seeds. The latest technology, locally tested. Brevant seeds. Seed. Yield. Easy.
The tractor is missing a few things: a steering wheel, as already seen on Fendt combines, and a rear hitch. Modde says the idea is implements won’t really attach to a tractor, instead following behind remotely (which would require some good ol’ electrification, also a popular idea at the show this year).
