OPP on the hunt for 130 stolen pigs

More than 100 pigs have been reported stolen from a farm in Oxford township area of southwestern Ontario.

The Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) say officers with the Oxford County detachment were sent out to a farm in the area on Boxing Day after receiving a report of stolen pigs.

Police say sometime between November 9, 2019, and November 29, 2019, a person or group attended the farm and removed approximately 130 six-month old pigs, weighing approximately 300 pounds each from the property.

Members of the Oxford County OPP continue to investigate and are asking the public for help with this investigation. If anyone has any information they are being asked to contact the OPP at 1-888-310-1122 or you can remain anonymous, by calling Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477 (TIPS).
