Bayer discontinues two canola hybrids after inconsistent performance

Bayer is removing two hybrids from the marketplace, after an extensive review of the performance of DEKALB DKTF 92 SC and DKTF 94 CR.

Based on “inconsistent performance” in 2019, the company says that these two hybrids did “not meet Bayer’s expectations.” 2019 was the first year the two hybrids were in commercial production.

Bayer’s 2019 side-by-side trials with other DEKALB TruFlex canola with Roundup Ready Technology hybrids confirmed that the inconsistent yield results were limited to these two hybrids โ€” all other TruFlex canola, straight-cut, and clubroot-resistant hybrids performed to expectation.

“We are sorry for any inconvenience the removal of these hybrids has caused growers, and are asking those who have booked DKTF 92 SC or DKTF 94 CR for 2020 to speak with their local sales rep or retailer to find a suitable replacement hybrid,” Bayer says.
