Krone expands its forage portfolio with VariPack belt baler

by

Krone is re-focusing its efforts in forages and, with the unveiling of its new baler line, is now claiming to have the widest product range for balers in the whole industry.

The company’s VariPack was premiered at Agritechnica in Hanover, Germany in November.

“We, for the first time ever, now have a belt baler in our program, which is specialized for dry crops where we need much capacity, and even more density in the bales,” says Henrik Feldmann with Krone.

Feldmann says the baler range is especially well suited to dry hay markets.

The balers offer three core density and size options, all set on the terminal of the cab.

They also feature swift bale ejection with the rear door opening and closing in less than five seconds, a cam-less EasyFlow pick-up, a standard-fit, high-capacity rotor, minimized service and maintenance, a chute for low-effort net roll refills, and automatic lubrication of bearings and chains.

The baler is available in two models —the VariPack V 165 XC Plus (0.80m to 1.65m) and the V 190 XC Plus (0.80m to 1.90m).
