Monosem offers increased flexibility with MultiSlide planter lineup

by

Monosem’s MultiSlide planter lineup is allowing operators to vary inter-row spacing to accommodate a wide range of crops, all from the tractor cab.

The range uses a claw system on the metering units, with rails integrated into the frame to make sliding possible. Inter-row spacing can be set in 2.5 cm increments from 45 to 80 cm, making it possible to precision -plant crops such as canola, corn, sorghum, sugar beets, cotton, and even peanuts.

RealAgriculture’s coverage of Agritechnica 2019 is made possible by Brevant seeds. The latest technology, locally tested. Brevant seeds. Seed. Yield. Easy.

“This is something which is coming more and more,” says Monosem’s Ludovic Knab, “and all the people are also looking for precision planting, because you will reduce the cost of the seeds first…, you will have better placement for better germination, at the end of the day you will get more yield also, and this is all done because of the precision planting system.”

The range is available in 4-metre, 5.5-metre, and 6-metre working widths, with folding wings for a 3-metre transport width. Frames can be equipped with Monoshox NG Plus ME or NG Plus 4E electric metering units.
