Achieving uniform distribution with Fliegl's trailing shoe slurry spreading system

Fliegl’s new trailing shoe slurry discharge outlet is promising to reduce forage contamination, increase efficiency of manure spreading, and lower the loss rate of ammonium nitrogen.

“It’s an innovative product because we don’t use a macerator within the system,” says Fliegl’s Nick Dale. “The macerator is a very expensive option to run.”

According to Dale, the ground-level manure spreading unit, TWIN, uses a stainless steel trough with hydraulically driven stainless steel screw-in, providing even distribution of liquid slurry over each outlet.

“But also, any oversized product or any foreign object that’s in there, it moves it along with the way it works, into the stone trap at the end, which can be either manually or hydraulically released.”

It’s possible to retrofit TWIN to existing trailing shoe distributors.
