Väderstad's new central-fill technology offers increased productivity and capacity

by

Väderstad’s new planter offering enables operators to fill one large 3,000 L seed hopper, rather than each row unit, increasing both productivity and capacity.

“It’s our new system for pressurized seed metres,” says Väderstad’s Lars Thylen, “where we have a central fill function…for all seeds, including small seeds like canola, sugar beets, but also normal seeds like corn, soybeans, cotton, sorghum, and so on.”

RealAgriculture’s coverage of Agritechnica 2019 is made possible by Brevant seeds. The latest technology, locally tested. Brevant seeds. Seed. Yield. Easy.

Available for the top-range Tempo L planters (Tempo L 12, 16, 18, and 24), the company’s central-fill is coupled with PowerShoot technology, for both precision and speed.

“Next spring we will run, I think, six machines in Canada, some in Ontario, Quebec, and also in Saskatchewan and Manitoba,” says Thylen.

Central-fill will be commercially available starting early 2021.
