A new transmission promises to give New Holland T5 tractor operators a new level of power and productivity, says the manufacturer.
New Holland’s claims are rooted in the addition of the Dynamic Command and AutoCommand transmission to the tractor’s spec sheet.
With AutoCommand, the T5 features the company’s continuously variable transmission for increased versatility and comfort, ideal for high-PTO work. The highly maneuverable Dynamic Command reliably delivers maximum productivity in operations where loader work and transport are key aspects of daily operations, notes New Holland crop preparation brand marketing manager Jordan Milewski.
In this video, Milewski gives us a tour of the new T5 tractor, which debuted at the National Farm Machinery Show (NFMS) in February.
Milewski says the versatile T5 Series is a good fit for livestock and mixed operations in a variety of applications including mowing, baling, light tillage and transport.
The T5 Dynamic Command 24×24 eight-step semi-PowerShift transmission is designed for efficiency and offers a wide set of speeds within three ranges. It delivers near-instantaneous direction changes, ideal for carrying out loader operations more quickly and smoothly.
The T5 AutoCommand provides seamless speed changes and all-around performance in jobs where exact speeds are critical, notes Milewski. The three-stage acceleration and deceleration settings match performance to each task for smooth shuttle shifting and excellent maneuverability.
