2020 World Dairy Expo cancelled

by

Organizers of the World Dairy Expo have announced the 2020 edition of the show has been cancelled due to COVID-19.

The largest dairy event in North America was slated to be held September 29 to October 3, 2020, at Madison, Wisconsin.

General manager Scott Bentley says after meeting with government and public health officials, it was determined holding the event this year was not feasible.

“Please know, other options were explored and considered by the World Dairy Expo executive committee and staff. However, unwaveringly, we recognize our responsibility is to maintain the health of our community and the safety of all of you as exhibitors, attendees and volunteers…” he says in a letter dated June 4, 2020.

The show brings more than 60,000 people, including many Canadians, to Madison each fall.

The 2021 edition of the World Dairy Expo is scheduled for September 28 to October 2, 2021.
