U.S. Farm Progress Show cancelled

After holding out hope into last week that the show could go on, organizers of the U.S. Farm Progress Show say they have made the decision to cancel the large farm show due to COVID-19.

The event was slated to run September 1-3, 2020 near Boone, Iowa.

“We’re sad to report today that the changing conditions over the last week have led show management to a difficult decision. No Farm Progress Show this year,” say organizers in a Facebook post published on June 29.

The Farm Progress Show alternates between permanent facilities near Boone and Decatur, Illinois, and often serves as a venue for North American product launches.

The 2021 show is slated to be held August 31 to September 2, 2021 in Decatur.

Farm Progress organizers also announced the cancellation of Husker Harvest Days, which was supposed to take place September 15-17 at Wood River, Nebraska.
