RealAg Radio, August 3: Eight years since the end of the CWB single desk

We have a special edition of RealAg Radio on this Monday! Today we are going to take a bit of a trip down memory lane to reminisce a bit.

This past week we had Jeff Nielsen, previous board director for the Canadian Wheat Board (CWB), current chair of Grain Growers of Canada, and farmer from Olds, Alta., join us for RealAg LIVE!. August 1st is the start of the new crop marketing year, and is also the anniversary of the end of the Canadian Wheat Board’s single desk. It’s been eight years since the CWB monopoly ended, and it’s a story that comes with many layers, and many different perspectives.

On today’s show, host Shaun Haney and Jeff Nielsen take a deep dive into what was the CWB, and how we got to where we are today. Enjoy!
