As the holiday season approaches, you may be stocking up on libations, goodies, groceries, and more. Well, this year, if you live in Ontario, the cream liquor you so admire for your coffee or over ice, will have the Dairy Farmers of Canada blue cow logo.
Dairy Distillery, the creators of Vodkow Superior spirits made from Canadian milk, has received approval from the DFC to use the blue cow logo on their Vodkow Cream bottles.
The Almonte, Ont.-based distillery uses milk permeate (unused milk sugar) from 3,500 dairy farms to create its Vodkow product. Vodkow Cream blends fresh Canadian cream with their vodka to create the cream liquor, which is a double win for the dairy industry.
Did you know 85% of cream liquors sold in Canada are imported? The @dfc_plc have granted us the use of their “Blue Cow” on our #VodkowCream bottle. The first time on a spirits bottle, it signifies the cream we use is 100% Canadian. Watch for it when buying cream liquor. pic.twitter.com/USpa2ntEEh
