Team Alberta — which consists of Alberta Wheat and Barley Commissions, Alberta Canola, Alberta Pulse Growers, and the Alberta Wheat Commission — have launched the new website for Alberta’s Crop Protection Guide.
While the commissions are currently working to produce the 2021 “Blue Book” (paper copies will be available in March of 2021), they felt it was key to offer an advanced ordering system for deliveries in the spring. This new feature allows retailers, agronomists, and farmers to place their 2021 orders well in advance of the busy spring season. Orders can be placed on www.albertabluebook.com.
The commissions are also encouraging feedback and input in this startup year of production. This can be done through the website as well.
Don Shepert, chair of Alberta Pulse Growers says the joint effort from all the commissions was key to to the success of the project.
“Collaboration among the commissions was essential to ensuring that ‘The Blue Book’ is updated and available in time for the 2021 growing season,” says Shepert.
