'Clarkson's Farm' returning for second season

by

Good news for everyone who’s been hooked on possibly the most popular modern mainstream TV show about farming and life as a farmer.

“Clarkson’s Farm,” which features Top Gear and The Grand Tour star Jeremy Clarkson and his now-famous hired hand Kaleb Cooper, has been renewed for a second season on Amazon Prime Video.

The show documents Clarkson’s bumbling and often-humorous attempts to learn how to grow crops, raise livestock, and run a small shop, on his thousand acre farm in the Cotswolds, in the heart of the United Kingdom.

It’s been a hit since its worldwide debut on Prime in June, bringing huge mainstream attention to the many challenges and realities of farming — which also make the show relatable for fans connected to farming here in Canada, the U.S., and beyond.

“Following the success of the first series, I’m delighted to say that there will be a second series of Clarkson’s Farm,” says Clarkson, in a video posted on social media July 21. From behind the camera, Cooper can be heard correcting him, saying: “You mean Kaleb’s Farm?”

“No, all the team are back. Jeff and Charlie, Lisa, Gerald, and the fetus in a tractor,” replies Clarkson, referring to Cooper.

Amazon Prime says filming is underway on Season 2. No release date has been announced.
