Kinze's 1121 grain cart and new line-up have "creature feature" upgrades

by

Kinze Manufacturing is expanding and enhancing its lineup of dual auger grain carts for model year 2022.

Their Harvest Commander 1121 model was recently unveiled at Farm Progress Show at Decatur, Illinois, where Justin Render, product specialist, was joined by Kara Oosterhuis to chat about the changes and new cart.

The new model is a throwback to an old style grain cart, the 1050, says Render, and customers were still there for the product — semi-load capacity, not a lot of frills, and custom harvesters like the shorter-coupled cart where they can keep their tractor and grain cart hooked up for transport.

“We’ve taken that 1050 market and made some enhancements to it,” says Render.

Improved cleanout with a dump door feature, auger spout grain control, and upgraded lighting all round out the new model lineup including the 1321, 1421, 1521, and 1721, along with the 1121. The first two digits represent hundreds of bushels, the third digit indicates single or dual auger, and the final number is the model generation, says Kinze Manufacturing in a press release.

There’s an option for added sensor bells and whistles in the GT 560, as well as a dealer install option of a remote scale head display for the combine operator.

Beginning in 2022, all Kinze single and dual auger carts will carry the Harvest Commander name, as did the former 1050 model, says the company.

The new grain carts are available to order now. Watch the full conversation for more:
