Massey Ferguson 5S series redesign provides extra visibility from cab

Massey Ferguson recently showcased a redesign of their 5S tractor.

Available in three models ranging from 115 to 145 HP, the redesigned 5S series tractor delivers value and capabilities for hay and livestock producers.

Derek Reusser, technical marketing manager at AGCO, says the new steep-nosed design offers operators great visibility.

“For loader work for example, you need to see exactly where that bucket is. That steep-nosed design gives you that ability to actually see within 13 feet ahead of you on the tractor,” Reusser explains.

Another highlight of the series is the 4-cylinder, 4.4 litre engine that complies with Tier 4 Final emission rules, using the compact All-in-One after treatment system.

“It’s a proven technology that we are putting into this tractor, optimizing all fluid efficiencies when it comes to operator’s and the farm’s bottom line. At the end of the year we want to provide the most fuel efficient and fluid efficient tractor we can give to our customers,” says Reusser.
