RBC, FCC, and University of Guelph launch new e-learning farm management course

by

Farmers looking to upgrade their farm management skills, without the cost and commitment of on-location learning, will be able to access a new online course beginning in January 2022.

RBC Royal Bank, Farm Credit Canada and the University of Guelph have teamed up to offer an eight-module, learn-at-home course called Foundations in Agriculture Management. The course will be offered at no cost to farmers.

Ryan Riese, with RBC Royal Bank, sat down with RealAg Radio host Shaun Haney for the November 25th edition of the show, to make the announcement.

Inspired by a similar concept focused on personal finance from when RBC teamed up with McGill University a number of years ago, Riese says that the course will cover pertinent farm management topics. Featuring University of Guelph lecturers, the video-based course will tackle topics ranging from strategy and business planning, to human resources, succession planning, and mental health awareness and management.

Successful completion of eight modules and a test will result in a certificate from the University of Guelph, Riese says.

The course launches January 17, 2022.
