Ontario’s agriculture ministry is set to hire four new extension staff over three locations: Ridgetown, Kemptville, and Vineland.
Job offers are currently posted for a soil fertility specialist, a cropping systems specialist, a livestock specialist, and a lead for horticulture sustainability.

At a time when some provinces, such as Alberta, and organizations, such as the Canola Council of Canada, are pulling back on extension and agronomy as strategic initiatives, Ontario seems to be making a firm commitment to re-staff vacant positions.
