Ottawa Valley Farm Show cancelled for 2022

by

For the third time, the Ottawa Valley Farm Show has been cancelled.

One of the first farm shows impacted by the global pandemic in 2020, the 2022 version of the Ottawa Valley Farm Show will not go ahead, says the Ottawa Valley Seed Growers Association (OVSGA) who runs the show.

Organizers say challenges presented to exhibitors and visitors by the continued uncertainties of the pandemic and accompanying restrictions means the doors to the in-person farm show March 15 to 17, 2022, will remain closed.

In the coming year, OVSGA will celebrate its 95th year. There are plans for March activities including the 2022 Ottawa Valley Championship Seed, Feed and Forage Show and Awards Presentations, local county seed shows and the 30th annual Prestigious Pedigreed Seed Auction with proceeds to Children’s Hospital of Eastern Ontario, the organization says. Plus, later this year the OVSGA will offer its scholarship opportunities, an annual photo contest, and special projects at the International Plowing Match 2022, set for Finch, Ont.

The Ottawa Valley Farm Show is set to return March 14, 15, and 16, 2023, at the EY Centre, at Ottawa, Ont.
