The last three to four weeks have been nothing short of, well, wild in Canada.
Regardless of where you sit on the protest/blockade/Emergencies Act issues, Canadians have witnessed a new kind of uncertainty since a convoy of Canadians converged on the nation’s capital and U.S. border crossings in late January and early February.
The last week, especially, with the enactment of the Emergencies Act, the police removal of the occupation of downtown Ottawa, and the breakup and dispersal of protests at borders has had many Canadians feeling a little uneasy about the state of things. For some, this has included concerns about bank accounts being frozen.
That’s on top of the highest inflation we’ve seen in decades, decreasing the purchasing power of every dollar.
As a result, some have been prompted to move money out of banks and into other places, possibly the equities market, gold or silver, bitcoin, or the trusty coffee can.
Which brings us to this week’s (anonymous!) poll. Weigh in, below!
